those are the original 24.  had them ALL.  my favorite of those being Welcome to Camp Nightmare and Night of the living Dummy

I also literally owned and displayed on one bookshelf, in numerical order, 1 through 59. Say Cheese and Die was the craziest but I loved them all. I would sit down next to my bed, pick one up, and 30 minutes later trade that, now finished, for a new one and get through four or so a night. Amazing series for a kid growing up digging fantastic stories.

ahhhhhhhhh goosebumps. i think that’s what really got me to love reading. my parents used to catch me reading by flashlight after bedtime because i wanted to read longer. what a nerdy kid.

I owned too many of these, and read almost all of them too but always hated how they weren’t as scary as my mind made it out to be based on the cover or the title. The TV show was even worse despite its G-7 rating, as it was too spooky for children under 7. Love it. They were some sort of grade school nerd status symbol that were meant to be displayed.
